Tips on How to Improve Yourself Everyday

In order to live life to the fullest, it’s important to do all you can to improve yourself as a person. Whether that means achieving your dreams or developing your confidence, it’s important to focus on personal development. Today I’d like to share with you tips that will help you improve yourself everyday.

Improving yourself everyday confirms that you want more positive than negative. To have more positive, you have Improve-life-in-100-daysto create that environment. It starts by being grateful for the day. You slept through the night and you are awake, that’s something major to be grateful for. One of the things that I started doing is posting positive affirmations and scriptures on the wall by my bed so I see them when I wake up. You can have beautiful pictures of places you want to go to or whatever that inspires you.

The first thing to do is find a routine that you can adapt to when you first wake up. For example, my routine every morning before I get out of bed is to pray.( I say something to the effect of ” this is the day the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it, Thank you Lord for a great day”. That’s all I said while I am awake still laying down in bed. Once I get up, I usually go about helping my kids get ready for school and when that’s done. I would go back and start reading my scriptures and index cards of affirmation.

Next, I would get ready to go to the gym. I go to the gym about 3 times a week and the days that I don’t go to the gym I would fill up that time with reading a book for at least 30 minutes.

Since I work from home, every night, I already know what I would be working on the next day. The main key to improve yourself everyday is to develop that routine to keep positivity around you. When you start your day with being grateful and to say a prayer, it sets the tone for the rest of your day.   Does that mean you would not encounter adversity during the day? Of course not… but it would not affect you as much as it would if you started your day with a negative attitude.

When working on improving yourself, it is important to train your mind to avoid indulging in negativity. Avoid watching the news first thing in the morning, or scrolling Facebook or social media account as soon as you awake.  Without you taking the time to yourself first and put you in a state of peace and harmony, those activities, will only cloud your mind and bring more noise into your world.

Everything starts with a decision and once you decide to improve yourself, start creating a morning routine that fits your lifestyle, stick to that routine and you will see the major difference that makes in your life.
